LAHORE: (Saturday, March 22, 2014): Punjab University Institute at Business & Information Technology (IBIT) organized its annual job fair at the New Campus to provide job opportunities to the students in the fields of information technology, finance, marketing, management information system and human resource management.

PU Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujahid Kamran inaugurated the job fair. IBIT Director Professor Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar, Dr Amir Sarwar, Research Officer Rabia Javed, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion. The VC appreciated the efforts put in by IBIT’s Industry Liaison Society team and guided the students regarding their career plans motivating them to have confidence in their abilities and be a responsible and useful resource for Pakistan. Various multi-national and national organizations from the fields of IT, textiles, marketing, FMCG’s etc took part in the event. TCS, United States Education Foundation in Pakistan, Suzuki Sethi Motors, Qarshi Group of Industries, Pakistan Information Technology Board, TUV Austria, Total Software Services and Academic Development Pakistan. The students found this opportunity to be very useful and circulated their CVs to be considered for jobs. Many were short listed and selected for interviews. The event sponsors were The Bank of Punjab and United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan.
