Students of University of the Punjab are passionate to promote peace throughout the university by implementing few actions


LAHORE: (Thursday, October 26, 2017): College of Earth and Environmental Sciences (CEES), University of the Punjab in collaboration with Center for Health and Gender Equality has conducted Two-days Training on Peace Promotion to engage students under the banner of “Inspiring the Future” in Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Department of Space Sciences on 25th and 26th October 2017.

The motive behind this initiative was to engage the students in the peace process. These training are basically intended to aware, sensitize and motivate them through healthy activities.

In this connection two trainings with students were conducted on the topic. The sessions were quite interactive ones as it was actively participated by the students. The sessions were convened with two way interaction and students gave very useful suggestion.

The trainings were concluded with the certificate distribution. The effort was largely lauded by Prof Dr Sajid Rashid Ahmad, focal person and Principal of CEES in the concluding remarks. He acknowledged

"The enthusiasm of the students in the training and assured his full cooperation in extensive activities and claimed these students as the peace agents."

He further added that

"Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Zafar Mueen Nasar, Worthy Vice Chancellor University of the Punjab we are committed to make University the Hub of Peace."

In the end Prof. Dr. Sajida Nisar, Director. IBA, and Dr. Syed Amir Mehmood, Chairman Department of Space Sciences esteemed the initiative taken for youth and asserted it to be the commendable of its nature.
