Orientation ceremony for BS (Hons) students held LAHORE: (Thursday, October 13, 2011): Punjab University Centre for Undergraduate Studies organized an orientation ceremony for the newly-admitted BS (Hons) students here in the Al-Raazi Hall on Thursday. Centre Director Prof Dr Aamir Ijaz, faculty members and a large number of newcomers of five disciplines including Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and Zoology were present on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Aamir Ijaz welcomed the students and briefed them about the history of the Centre, semester system and its rules, examination system. He asked the students to follow discipline and order as they are now fortunate to be part of the one of the most prestigious institutions of the world. He said the Centre had hired the best available teaching faculty and the Centre had state-of-the-art laboratories of Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Computer and Zoology.
