PU organizes Seerat conference LAHORE: (Thursday, May 2, 2019): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmed Akhtar has said that the contemporary and forthcoming problems being faced by the world can be resolved in the light of the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). He said that being the follower of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW), we must act upon his teachings to make this world a happy place to live in and to get success in eternal life. He was addressing Seerat-Un-Nabi (SAW) conference at Faisal Auditorium here on Thursday. Director Institute of Islamic Studies Prof Dr Muhammad Saad Siddiqui, Prof Dr Hamid Ashraf Hamdani, Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, President PU Academic Staff Association Prof Dr Mumtaz Anwar Chaudhary, Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Chairman Hall Council Prof Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhary, Director IER Prof Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar, faculty members, administrative officers and a large number of employees were present on the occasion. In his address, Prof Niaz Ahmad said that Allah has given us instructions through The Holy Quran and we must follow what The Holy Quran says. He said that our love with our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAW demands us to implement his way of life in our life. Prof Dr Saad Siddiqui said that Hazrat Muhammad SAW has the highest moral values and therefore even Hazrat Muhammad SAW's enemies called him as Saadiq and Ameen. He said that Hazrat Muhammad SAW is the most truthful person and we are proud to be his Ummati. He said that we must adopt the principles of honesty and truthfulness. He advised the participants to allocate some time everyday to study life and practices of Hazrat Muhammad SAW. Prof Hamid Ashraf Hamdani said that making someone a Paighamber is the choice of Allah and no one can achieve the status of a Paighamber through worship.
