The students of Centre had joyful moments at Annual sports gala of the Centre for Coal Technology. The theme of the sports gala was piece through sports. The sports gala was concluded in a colourful award ceremony which was presided over by Director in the full presence of the faculty, staff and students of the centre. While addressing to the ceremony director lauded the efforts of students, their enthusiasm and relevant faculty members in organizing supports gala successfully. The audience were advised to continue spirits of sports gala in their daily routines. Teachers also participated in games to boost the moral and spirits of students.

The teams participated in various games including tug of war, cricket, table tennis, badminton and football. The team event was divided into two groups, semester 2nd and semester 4th and in groups of boys and girls. Boys and girls from seniors were declared winner in tug of war and table tennis competitions. Senior boys also won football game. Cricket was won by junior boys and girls.Junior's boys were also winner of Relay race and one leg race games. Badminton competition was drawn. The class of Semester 4th was declared as the winner of the gala. The winners were awarded gifts and trophy. At the end of the ceremony, the director lauded the vision of Vice Chancellor to keep the spirits of celebrating healthy activities in the campus.
