PU faculty member represents Pakistan at UN

LAHORE: (Monday, August 17, 2026): Punjab University lecturer Hafiz Fawad Ali has joined delegates from around the world at the United Nations Office in Vienna as a Fully Funded Delegate for VICMUN 2026. The prestigious international conference brings together emerging leaders from across the globe to deliberate on pressing global challenges through the Model United Nations platform. VICMUN 2026 has gathered outstanding students, researchers, and young professionals to participate in high-level simulations of United Nations committees, fostering diplomacy, international cooperation, and sustainable development. Hafiz Fawad Ali earned his place through a competitive international selection process, securing a fully funded delegate position in recognition of his academic achievements and leadership potential. The funding for his participation was provided by the European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance (EELISA), supporting his participation in this significant international forum. His representation at the UN Office in Vienna reflects not only his individual academic and leadership accomplishments but also PU’s commitment to academic excellence, international engagement, and the development of globally minded leaders.
