PUOWA holds Umrah lucky draw; four officers declared successful

LAHORE: (Tuesday, June 02, 2026): The annual lucky draw for Umrah tickets, organized by the Punjab University Officers Welfare Association (PUOWA), was held here on Tuesday. Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali conducted the draw and announced the names of the successful officers. The officers who won the Umrah tickets through the lucky draw included Estate Officer Muhammad Mujahid Chaudhry, Assistant Registrar Computer Tahir Bilal, Admin Officer Allah Ditta and Lab Engineer Nosheen Maryam Awan. On this occasion, Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, Treasurer Tasneem Kamran, President PUOWA Dr. Toqeer Ali, General Secretary Rana Muzaffar Ali, and other office-bearers were present. The Punjab University Officers Welfare Association annually provides Umrah tickets to two officers selected through a lucky draw, however, this year, on the special instructions and patronage of VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, the number of Umrah tickets was increased from two to four. The officers appreciated the efforts of the Vice Chancellor and the Association in this regard. In his remarks, PU VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali congratulated the successful officers and said that this initiative is a commendable tradition for the welfare and well-being of university officers and should continue in the future.
