LAHORE: (Friday, August 10, 2012): Punjab University Institute of Education and Research has received first installment of research grant for teachers’ resource capacity building under USAID Teachers Education Project. In this regard, a ceremony was held at Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room where USAID Regional Director Syed Nadeem Ahmed called of PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran here on Friday morning. IER Director Prof Dr Mumtaz Akhtar, Dr Rafaqat Ali Akbar, Dr Abid Hussain Chaudhry and Ubaidullah also attended the meeting. The meeting was informed that the Rs 1.5m research project would also aim at finding out teachers’ beliefs and practices in ADBA donors programme. Later, USAID Regional Director Syed Nadeem Ahmed presented a cheque of the first installment to Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran.
