A deeply inspiring day of learning at the Institute of Applied Psychology

IAP had honor of hosting Dr. Akhtar Ali Syed, Principal Clinical Psychologist (Ireland), for an eye-opening seminar dedicated to the life and legacy of Dr. Akhter Ahsen, the pioneering Pakistani founder of Eidetic Therapy.
Our undergraduate, MPhil, and PhD scholars engaged in a profound intellectual discourse. Together, they explored experiential psychotherapeutic paradigms and their crucial application to collective and transgenerational traumas, taking a closer look at the lasting psychosocial impacts of the 1947 Partition.
This talk challenged our young minds to embrace native psychological paradigms to better understand, contextualize, and heal the complex psychosocial issues within our own society.
A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Akhtar Ali Syed for guiding this vital conversation and empowering the next generation of psychologists!
