LAHORE: (Monday, August 15, 2011): President of Pakistan, on the eve of 65th Independence Day of the country, has announced “Presidential Award for Pride of Performance” for Punjab University Professor Emeritus Dr Khawaja Muhammad Zakriya and Principal College of Art & Design Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masud, in recognition of their meritorious services in the field of Literature and Fine Arts, respectively.

The awards will be conferred on Dr Muhammad Zakriya and Dr Rahat Naveed Masud at the investiture ceremony of March 23. It is worth mentioning here that both the faculty members are associated with Punjab University since a long time and have rendered great services in their respective areas of education.
