LAHORE: (Friday, September 11, 2026): Punjab University Lecturer at Hailey College of Commerce Hafiz Fawad Ali has participated in the Climate Tech Summer School 2026 “Innovations for Urban Climate Adaptation and Protection”, hosted by the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland. The international Summer School brought together participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds to explore innovative solutions for climate-resilient, sustainable, and liveable cities. The programme adopted an interdisciplinary approach, combining urban climate adaptation and protection with innovation, entrepreneurship, and practical problem-solving. During the programme, Hafiz Fawad Ali engaged in interdisciplinary learning and collaborative activities addressing contemporary urban climate challenges. The Summer School provided opportunities to interact with international participants, academics, experts, startups, and other innovation stakeholders and to explore entrepreneurial approaches for translating ideas into practical solutions. Upon completion of the programme, Hafiz Fawad Ali earned 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits, reflecting the academic and intensive nature of the Summer School. His participation was supported through funding provided by EELISA. Hafiz Fawad Ali expressed his appreciation to EELISA and ZHAW for facilitating his participation in this international academic and professional development opportunity. Participation in the Climate Tech Summer School provided valuable international exposure and strengthened knowledge in the areas of climate resilience, sustainable urban development, interdisciplinary innovation, and entrepreneurship.
