LAHORE: (Thursday, August 29, 2013): Punjab University Institute of Education and Research on Thursday organized an awareness seminar against dengue and measles at Al-Raazi Hall.

IER’s anti-dengue campaign committee chairman Prof. Dr. Abid Hussain Ch, convener Mrs. Aroona Hashmi, members Tariq Hussain and Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad, PU Health Centre’s Dr Muhammad Akmran, Lahore General Hospital’s Dr Khalid Hussain and young scholars of Laboratory High School were present on the occasion.

The seminar aimed at creating awareness regarding dengue and measles among students and to help the government’s initiative of anti-dengue campaign. Dr. Muhammad Akram and Dr. Khalid Hussain educated the audience about dengue virus and informed about precautionary measures. Young scholars of IER Laboratory School strengthened the campaign by showing placards in compliance with seminar followed by a walk started from Al-Raazi Hall to IER.
