LAHORE: (Thursday, October 01, 2020:) Punjab University has introduced semester based two year associate degree for affiliated colleges. The degrees will be launched from the present academic year 2020-21 with the nomenclature of Associate Degree in Commerce and Associate Degree in Account and Finance. In a press statement, Hailey College of Commerce Principal Professor Dr. Zulifiqar Ahmed said that the new programs catered to the modern needs of professional fields in which recommendations of the industry had been included. He said that the courses had been designed as per the guidelines of HEC. He said that special attention has been given to information technology and ERP in the curriculum. After completion of the degree, the candidates would be able to start their career with a good knowledge of academic and professional fields. He said that these degrees will provide a strong foundation for higher education as well. The government and private colleges can contact Punjab University for the affiliation, he added.
