A seminar on breast cancer awareness was held at the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature on October 28, 2026.
Dr. Sofia Anwar and Dr. Fizza Khurshid from Combined Military Hospital (CMH) delivered informative talks on breast cancer. They provided awareness about the disease and highlighted its symptoms, the importance of early diagnosis, and preventive measures.
On this occasion, Director of the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature, Dr. Baseera Ambreen, also addressed the participants. She emphasized the importance of raising awareness about breast cancer as a significant medical and social issue. She highlighted that such sessions play a vital role in creating awareness among women, helping them understand the importance of early diagnosis, and encouraging positive attitudes towards health and well-being.
The seminar was moderated by Sonia Saleem. Dr. Arifa Iqbal and Dr. Aneela Saleem also attended the event, along with a large number of female students.
The faculty members and students raised several important and informative questions related to the topic. Their active participation and thoughtful queries made the discussion more meaningful and helped highlight various aspects of breast cancer awareness.
