November 02, 2026: Prof. Dr. Imran Sajid of the Institute of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, University of the Punjab (IMMG-PU), has been awarded the 6th Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Gold Medal in Applied and Environmental Microbiology by the Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan (AZSP).
The prestigious award was conferred during the inaugural ceremony of the 9th International Conference of Applied Zoology (ICAZ-2026) in recognition of Prof. Dr. Imran Sajid's outstanding research contributions and academic achievements in the fields of Industrial and Applied Microbiology. This recognition acknowledges his significant contributions to microbiological research, particularly in the areas of industrial microbiology, drug discovery, and applied microbial sciences.
