Lahore, Pakistan – Punjab University Zoology students celebrated World Wildlife Day 2025 under the theme “Wildlife Conservation Finance: Investing in People and Planet,” exploring sustainable financing for conservation and a resilient future. Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of CITES, the event highlighted global conservation efforts. On February 20-21, 2025, the Punjab Wildlife & Parks Department, alongside the Institute of Zoology and Women University of Lahore, conducted a workshop on “Modern Tools and Techniques for Wildlife Species Identification and Data Handling” under the “Punjab Wildlife Census” project. This transformative event advanced conservation in Pakistan by fostering collaboration among researchers, officials, and students. Participants also visited Changa Manga Wildlife Sanctuary to celebrate the day.
