PU Institute of Zoology holds amphibian awareness exhibition

LAHORE: (Friday, November 21, 2025): Punjab University Institute of Zoology organized a BS Zoology students–led “Amphibian Awareness Exhibition” on Thursday to highlight the ecological significance of amphibians. Director Institute of Zoology Prof Dr Nabila Roohi, Chairman Hall Council Prof Dr Muhammad Akbar Khan, Director DSA Dr Shahzeb Khan, Student Advisor Dr Bushra Nisar Khan, faculty members, and a large number of students attended the event. In her address, Dr Nabila Roohi said that the exhibition aimed to underscore the vital ecological role of amphibians, describing them as key indicators of environmental health and essential components of balanced ecosystems. She said the exhibition featured educational models, informative posters, interactive games, quiz competitions, storytelling sessions, and an awareness talk and movie show arranged by WWF-Pakistan.
