PU and Saudi College signed MOU
LAHORE: (Friday, June 15, 2012): Punjab University and Al Sharq College for Science and Technology, Jeddah Saudi Arabia signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Vice Chancellor’s office committee room here on Friday, to promote educational linkages between the two countries. PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, Al Sharq College for Science and Technology Jeddah Saudi Arabia Dean Dr Mahdi M Al Mutawa, Parliamentary Sectary for Health Punjab Dr Saeed Ilahi, Registrar Prof Dr Khan Raas Masood, Controller Prof Dr Liaqat Ali, Advisor to VC Col (r) Ikram-Ul-llah Khan and other senior members were also present on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran said being Muslim countries Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had enjoyed good relations. He said Saudi Arabia had played an important role in promoting education in Pakistan. Dr Mahdi M Al Mutawa said the MOU would help more promote economic, social, traditional and cultural linkages between Pakistani and Saudi students. He said as nearly 7 thousand students were studying in Saudi universities. Dr Mahdi expressed his pleasure on signing MOU with a leading varsity of Pakistan. He said they interested in investment sector along with education in the Pakistan.
