LAHORE: (Monday, April 30, 2012): A six member media delegation from leading German Press called on Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran at his office here on Monday. PU Registrar Prof Dr Khan Raas Masood, Director External Linkages Maria I Maldonado, faculty members and journalist from German media including Dr Erentraud Homberg, Dr Manfred Hettlage, Ron Giger, Kurt Seinitz and Andreas Gromoll attended the meeting.

The Vice Chancellor briefed the delegation on the varsity’s administration, academic and research developments, co curricular and extra-curricular activities. He told the delegation that PU had improved in all parameters in the previous four years and it had a lot of talent.

He said that PU students were winning positions in competitions being held at international level. He said that Pakistanis highly respected German people and also considered all the products made in Germany durable. The German team thanked PU for a warm reception. Later, the Vice Chancellor and German team exchanged souvenirs. The delegation also paid visit to PU’s Institute of Communication Studies.
