LAHORE: (Sunday, December 02, 2012): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has said that no nation can progress without promotion of research culture and knowledge. He was addressing in High Achievers Awards Ceremony, organized by Custom Public School at Alhamra Cultural Complex.

President SAARC Chamber Iftikhar Ahmad Malik, Principal Custom Public School Saira Zaheer Butt, Shahida Khan, teachers, students and their parents were also present on the occasion.

Dr Kamran said that the Muslim had strong faith and emotions and if 1.4 billion Muslim started working together with unity they could emerge as the most powerful nation in the world. He said that Pakistani nation was full of countless qualities and resources but they were not being utilized.

He said that Pakistan was spending 1.4 percent of its GDP on education which should be at least 5 percent. He advised the students to pay attention to their studies with dedication and whatever the goal they wanted to achieve in future, they should work hard for it.

He advised the students to keep an eye on their own deficiencies rather than criticizing others. He also advised them to study literary book poetry, novels etc side by side studying their course books. He congratulated the school administration on successfully organizing the event. Later, certificates and prizes were distributed among distinguish students.
