LAHORE: (Saturday, January 12, 2013): Punjab University has awarded 05 PhD degrees to the scholars in which Shafiq ur Rehman S/o Fazal Muhammad in the subject of Botany after approval of his thesis entitled “Playnostratigraphy Middle Permian Sediments (AMB Formation – Artinskian) Salt Range, Pakistan”, Usman Aslam S/o Ch. Muhammad Aslam in the subject of Molecular Biology after approval of his thesis entitled “Posttranscriptional Gene Silencing of Sugarcane Mosaic Virus in Sugarcane’’, Fauzia Saleem Alvi D/o Muhammad Saleem Iqbal Alvi in the subject of Sociology after approval of her thesis entitled “Globalization and Transition in Family Institution: An Analysis of the Pakistani Youth”, Sohail Afzal Tahir S/o Ch. Muhammad Afzal in the subject of High Energy Physics after approval of his thesis entitled “Elastic Scattering at Current and future Colliders” and Muhammad Shams ud Din S/o Muhammad Naseer ud Din in the subject of Islamic Studies after approval of his thesis entitled “Role of Parliament for Ijtihad A Research Study”.
