LAHORE: (Wednesday, January 30, 2012): Punjab University Faculty of Islamic Studies’ bi-annual academic and research journal “Jihat-ul-Islam” has been awarded with a prize of distinction at national level on the occasion of 12th of Rabi ul Awal 1434 A.H. at 38th National Seerat Conference Islamabad, where distinguished books and papers were conferred distinctions. In the concluded session of aforementioned conference which was held under the supervision of Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs, “Jihat-ul-Islam – Seerat Number” journal was awarded with 2nd prize in a national level contest. Editor of the journal Associate Professor Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre Dr Muhammad Abdullah received the award with a certificate of distinction by President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari. PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran extended his highly esteemed congratulation to both the Chief Editor Prof Dr Hafiz Mahmood Akhtar and the Editor Dr Muhammad Abdullah on their commendable performance.
