The 2nd In-service faculty professional training program has been concluded at the department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics (MMG), University of the Punjab, Lahore. This program was organized under the auspices of Learning Innovation Division (LID), Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan. There were two core modules in this training program.

It was a five day training program for the young PU faculty members. Thirty faculty members from various departments/Institutes/ Centers/ Colleges of the varsity participated in this program. Addressing to the certificate distribution ceremony, Prof. Dr. Shahida Hasnain (Distinguished National Professor and Patron of the Training Program) said that such training activities are the key component of professional grooming. She gave some useful tips to newly inducted faculty members and emphasized that university teachers should manage their time for departmental administrative duties, academics and research. She also appreciated the efforts of program coordinators (Dr. Imran Sajid, Assistant Professor MMG and Mr. Numan Javed, Lecturer MMG) and suggested that in future such programs should be organized on regular basis. She further acknowledged the financial and technical support of Learning Innovation Division (LID), Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan and University of the Punjab for this training program.
