Students of Centre for Undergraduate Studies Participate in World Wildlife Day, 2019 at the Governor House, Lahore Keeping in view the Clean and Green Pakistan vision of the government, Mr. Ghazanfer Khan Langha, Ex-Director, Wildlife & Parks Punjab and Mr. Badar Munir, Honorary Game Warden Punjab, arranged World Wildlife Day, 2019 at the Governor House Punjab earlier on 6th March, 2019. This event was arranged in collaboration with Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department to revitalize our natural habitats and watersheds. The chief guest of the event was Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar, Governor Punjab. Minister Wildlife and Fisheries Punjab and Minister Information Punjab also joined the honorable Chief Guest. Representatives from different animal protection organizations, nature lovers, universities and important political figures also actively participated in this event. A group of 11 students along with Dr. Bushra Nisar Khan from Centre for Undergraduate Studies represented the University of the Punjab. The Chief Guest Mr. Muhammad Sarwar said that it was need of the hour to save our water resources and forest cover for healthy ecosystem, for conservation of fauna and flora and for livelihood of the community. The students of Center for Undergraduate Studies were very pleased to be the part of this ceremony. They came to know about the importance of wildlife and role of conservation authorities in this regards.
