Centre for Coal Technology conducted a program in memory of the known Poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal in conjunction with Iqbal day seminar. The honorable director Centre for Coal Technology Prof Dr Shahid Munir presided over of the Iqbal seminar. The respected faculty members Prof Dr Shafqat Nawaz, Dr Javaid Akhtar, Mr Khurram Shahzad, Miss Sumaira Kanawal, Mr Muhammad Khurram Shahzad, and students from the centre attended the program. An eminent scholar of Iqbaliat, Prof Iftikhar Tariq Rathore honored the program with his presence and participation as chief guest.

Speeches were delivered by Prof Dr Shahid Munir and Prof Dr Iftikhar Tariq Rathore on thinking, philosophy, and poetry of Iqbal. Professor Iftikhar threw light upon the message of Iqbal for Muslim youth and for the youth of first ideological state of Pakistan. On the occasion, poems and verses of Iqbal's poetry were aired and admired by the audience. Speakers admired the objective oriented poetry of Iqbal and its relationship with Islam. Many revolutions including Iran revolution were attributed to the Kalam-e-Iqbal. At the end of the program, Director CCT presented vote of thanks to honorable guests and to the contributions of students in arranging the program. Director also lauded Vice Chancellor's vision to organize the national days and encouraged the University to keep the spirit of remembering the heroes.
