International Conference of Applied Psychology (ICAPP, 2012) was inaugurated on Monday, 17th December, 2012 at 09:00 am in Faisal Auditorium, University of the Punjab. Prof. Mohammad Nazamuddin was chief guest of the ceremony. The session started with welcome note from the Chairperson of Department of Applied Psychology, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar. Distinguished professionals from India, United Kingdom, United States of America, Australia, and Pakistan delivered their speeches. Vice chancellor of Punjab University, Dr. Mujahid Kamran also addressed the audience. The ceremony ended with the speech of chief guest and vote of thanks by Dr. Naumana Amjad. Key note was delivered by Prof. Cecillia Essau. Refreshments were provided to the professionals and participants.

On day one of International Conference of Applied Psychology (ICAPP, 2012), the first session at Al-Razi Hall, Undergraduate block, University of the Punjab initiated at 02:00 pm. The session chair was Prof. Jorg Huber, professor of Behavioral Health Services in University of Northampton, England. The session was moderated by Dr. Rafia Rafique. Overall six papers were presented related to area of Health Psychology.

The first session at Room No. 1, Undergraduate block, University of the Punjab at 02:00 pm. The session chairs were Prof. Daniel Christie, Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Ohio State University and Fulbright Specialist in Peace and Conflict Studies; and Dr. Aftab Asif, Associate Professor in Fatima Jinnah Medical College. The session was moderated by Dr. Saima Dawood. Overall six papers were presented related to area of Clinical Psychology.

The first session at Room No. 02, Undergraduate block, University of the Punjab initiated at 02:00 pm. The session chairs were Prof. Mohammad Nizamuddin, Chairperson of Committee for Development of Social Sciences and Humanities in Pakistan (CDSSHP), Higher Education Commission, Pakistan; and Dr. Catherine Gilvarry, Senior Lecturer and Convener of the Psychology and Health Program at Roehampton, United Kingdom. The session was moderated by Dr. Iram Fatima. Overall five papers were presented related to area of Social and Environmental Psychology.

The first session at Room No. 03, Undergraduate block, University of the Punjab initiated at 02:00 pm. The session chairs were Prof. Ehsan Malik, Dean Faculty of EMS, Director General (PUGC), Ex-Dean Faculty of Law, Eng & Tech, Commerce, Life Sciences) and Director of IBA; and Dr. Dimpy Mahanta. The session was moderated by Dr. Tahira Mubashir. Overall four papers were presented related to area of social and Organizational Psychology.

The second session at Al-Razi Hall, Undergraduate Block, University of the Punjab, initiated at 3:15 pm. This session was chaired by Prof. Cecelia Essau, Professor of Developmental Psychopathology at the University of Roehampton; and Dr. Farah Malik, incharge Clinical Psychology Unit, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, GCU Lahore, Pakistan. Moderator of the session was Dr. Humaira Naz. Overall eight papers were presented in the session, related to the sphere of Developmental Psychology.

The second session at Room No.1, Undergraduate Block, University of the Punjab, initiated at 3:15 pm. This session was chaired by Prof. Iftikhar Un Nisa Hassan, Social Sciences Research Consultant at Karakoram International University; and Dr. Nashi Khan, Assistant Professor, Center for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. Moderator of the session was Dr. Iram Bukhari. Overall five papers were presented in the session, related to the sphere of Clinical Psychology.

The second session at Room No. 02, Undergraduate block, University of the Punjab at 03:15 pm. The session chairs were Prof. Ruhi Khalid, Director of Institute of Psychology, Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, and Dr. Regina Pauli, is Principal lecturer in school of life sciences, Roehampton University, United Kingdom. The session was moderated by Dr. Shabbir Rana. Overall five papers were presented related to area of Social and Environmental Psychology.

The second session at Room No. 03, Undergraduate block, University of the Punjab at 03:15 pm. The session chairs were Prof. Mumtaz Akhtar, and Prof. Hamid Sheikh. The session was moderated by Dr. Yousaf Sharjeel. Overall six papers were presented related to area of Educational Psychology.

A large number of registered participants, researchers and professionals attended the scientific sessions. All the sessions ended with concluding remarks and question answer sessions.

Prof. Dr. Jitendra Mohan delivered the Key Note on Positive Psychology Across Cultures.
The students and professionals benefited from his valued words.

Reception dinner was arranged for the foreign delegates and registered participants at Institute of Business Administration, University of the Punjab. The honorable guests enjoyed the programs arranged by the students of department of Applied Psychology.
