To honour and admire the great devotion and hard work of our beloved Quaid for the creation of Pakistan, the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics arranged a ceremonial celebration on 25th December, 2012. Truly, we are grateful to him for the efforts he put up for our country. The event was organized in the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics. All the faculty members and students attended the event. Students actively participated in this celebration. Following are the brief proceedings of the event.

The event was started with the name of Allah. Verses from the Holy Quran were recited by Hafiz Jaffar (BS 7th semester). Naat Rasool-e-Maqbool was presented by Amir Mumtaz as well as by Noor-ul-Hudda (BS 5th semester). A documentary relating to the Quaid-e-Azam (prepared by the students) was shown along with a national song sung by Rida Rashid (MS 1st semester). Speeches were made by various students regarding the life and message of the Quaid and the current scenario of Pakistan. A medley of national songs (praising the Quaid) was presented by a group of students. A few students had written poems about our beloved Quaid and country which they sang. Students of different semesters had designed display boards, highlighting the life, message and various aspects of the Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The designed display boards were visited by the students and the faculty members and were evaluated. In this regard, first prize was won by MS students. The event lasted for three hours and was ended with national anthem in which the whole department participated.
