LAHORE: (Tuesday, March 12, 2013): Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology has organized Annual Sports Festival 2013 under the theme of “Peace through Sports”. In the inauguration ceremony, ICET’s students from various parts of country represented their culture through wearing their traditional dresses and performed traditional dance, which was appreciated by the audience.

Talking to media, Faculty Sports Incharge Engineer Mudassar Azam said that the real purpose of organizing the sports festival was giving the message of peace and unity amongst our all ranks. He said that the students wanted to express that they were Pakistani first and later Balochi, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashton and Kashmiri. He said that we all wanted prosperity of the country. He said that 8 events would be organized in the sports festival.
