LAHORE: (Wednesday, March 13, 2013): Punjab University Department of Botany and Department of Applied Psychology have organized colorful activities of annual sports festival at greens of their respective departments. Punjab University Registrar Prof Dr Khan Rass Masood was the chief guest while Dr Asma Zulfiqar inaugurated annual sports gala at Botany Department. During his address to students, Prof. Dr. Rass Masood emphasized the importance of sports in transforming a student’s personality. In Applied Psychology Department, Director Sports Prof Dr Mansoor Sarwar, Chairperson Prof Dr Rukhsana Kausar, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

Dr Mansoor Sarwar said that sports played important role in teaching the art of winning and losing. Cricket, badminton, table tennis, athletics, Luddo, tug-of-war and other competitions were being held in which students are participating with fervor.
