PU organizes entry tests for undergraduate programs

LAHORE: (Sunday, June 14, 2026): Punjab University on Sunday conducted its undergraduate admission entry test across the country under its centralized admission process. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Chairman Admission Committee Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, Treasurer Tasneem Kamran and other officials visited various examination centers to review the arrangements.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said that more than 31,000 students had registered for the entry test. He added that examination centers had been established in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta, Peshawar, Gilgit, Skardu and other major cities for the convenience of candidates. He said that all necessary facilities had been provided not only for the candidates but also for their parents and guardians.
A university spokesperson stated that the entry test was being conducted at 105 examination centers nationwide. The spokesperson further said that seven different categories of entry tests were being held for admissions to all undergraduate programs. He added that 25 percent weightage in the undergraduate admission merit formula had been allocated to the entry test. To facilitate students, the test was being conducted in two shifts, he added.
The spokesperson also said that guidance stalls had been established and a shuttle service had been arranged on the New Campus to assist candidates and their parents.
