LAHORE: (Saturday, June 27, 2026): Punjab University office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) organized two seminars on “Admissions, Scholarships & Research Grant Opportunities in the USA” and “US Patent Application Process”, at the seminar Hall of the Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology. The events were attended by Chairman Admission Committee Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, President PIMME Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Shuja, Engr. Maaz Mahmood from SVP Sudar Trade & Industrial Association, Lahore, Director ORIC Engr. Prof. Dr. Aqil Inam, Internationally renowned Professor of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at the Central Michigan University, USA Dr. Waseem Haider, faculty members and students were present. The seminars were organized on the directions of PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali to create awareness and explore academic, research, and funding opportunities as well as for awareness about the US Patent filing Process, for the faculty members, researchers, and students of the university. Dr. Waseem Haider delivered very informative and valuable lectures on the said topics. His presentations were followed by question answer sessions. Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, was the Chief Organizer and Engr. Prof. Dr. Aqil Inam, Director ORIC and his team, were the Organizer of this magnificent event. Both of them shared their views on the need to organize such seminars and emphasized on the development of research, innovation and commercialization culture in University of the Punjab in liaison with industry. They emphasized the significance of achieving National and International research grants and patents. Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Shuja and Engr. Maaz Mahmood also enlightened the audience with their valuable thoughts and appreciated the role of ORIC in promotion of Research, Innovation and Commercialization.
