Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique, Institute of Applied Psychology, PU conducted a hybrid training session for psychologists working in high-security settings, with a focus on stress management and burnout prevention. The session underscored the importance of recognizing burnout as an organizational issue rather than an individual weakness, and highlighted the role of human-centered leadership in promoting staff wellbeing and sustainable performance. |
The training also reflected the long-standing collaboration between the Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab, and the Prison Inspectorate, following the signing of an MOU in 2020. This partnership continues to create meaningful opportunities for IAP alumni, many of whom are now serving in the Prison Inspectorate.
A healthier workplace, as emphasised during the session, is one in which professionals can perform effectively while safeguarding their mental health. |
