Director CEMB-PU visited the Shandong Binzhou Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine Research for research collaboration on 6th July 2026. Prof. Moazur Rahman, Director CEMB-PU, was warmly welcomed by the Communist Party Secretary/President, Mr. Zhang Bing, and Vice President, Dr. Li Feng, of the institute. During the visit to various state-of-the-art BSL-3, BSL-2, and production units, Prof. Moaz was briefed on the ongoing research in the field of animal science, particularly in animal breeding, vaccinology, modern diagnostics, and Chinese medicine. Prof. Moaz also delivered a comprehensive presentation entitled "Development of Modern Poultry Viral Vector and Subunit Vaccines and Diagnostic Tools." Research Group Leaders and scientists at the Shandong Binzhou Institute showed keen interest in initiating collaboration with the University of the Punjab to work on the development of modern vaccines and diagnostic tools, in addition to several other projects of mutual interest, most importantly in the area of zoonotic diseases. The visit concluded with a mutual commitment to strengthening scientific cooperation and fostering long-term collaborative research between the two institutions.
