On the 7th of July 2026, Prof. Moaz attended the 5th Agricultural University Presidents' Forum of SCO Countries and the 11th Annual Conference of the Silk Road Agricultural Education and Research Innovation Alliance in the ancient city of Xi’an, Northwest A&F;University. On behalf of the PU-CEMB, Prof. Moaz delivered a plenary talk on "Application of Molecular Biology in Agriculture and Health and Technology Transfer'' and signed the agreement to join the SCO Research and Innovation Alliance as the Punjab University’s representative. The forum features "Technological Innovation Leading the Future of Agriculture, Win-Win Cooperation Ensuring Food Security". Keeping abreast of the global digital transformation of agriculture, it focuses on the quality improvement and upgrading of agricultural education, collaborative breakthroughs in agricultural science and technology, and regional food security, aiming to explore effective paths for integrated agricultural education, research, and collaborative development among SCO member states and Belt and Road countries.

This forum assembles 86 universities and research institutions from 19 countries. Focusing on cutting-edge academic exchanges, collaborative research innovation, and mutual sharing and learning of achievements, Punjab University along with national and SCO member states' Universities will build a professional, multi-level transnational system for agricultural science and education cooperation, serving as a high-end and influential international academic platform in regional agricultural science and education.
