Professor Dr. Muhammad Kamran, Dean, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Punjab University, Lahore, while speaking as the chief guest at the first National Urdu Conference of the University of Lahore, said that special measures are needed for the survival and evolution of language and literature in the world of globalization and artificial intelligence. He stressed on the need to link the Urdu language with computers and the Internet, prepare new software and provide training to students. He paid tribute to the literary services of Professor Dr. Asghar Nadeem Syed, Head of the Urdu Department of the University of Lahore, in wonderful words.
