LAHORE: (Thursday, March 19, 2015): Punjab University’s 67th Intercollegiate Women Championship concluded here on Thursday with PU Teaching Department’s clinched team trophy while Psychology’s student Amna Siraj was declared best athlete of the tournament. PU’s faculty of Economics & Management Sciences Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik, Acting Director Sports Shamsa Hashmi, teachers, officials and female players from PU’s constituent colleges and affiliated colleges from Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sharaqpur, Okara and other cities were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Dr Ehsan Malik said that a large number of participation of female players showed that the future of females in sports would be brilliant. He said that we must respect the reason which caused our respect. Later, prizes were distributed among winners. In the event Shibli College Faisalabad got 2nd position while GC Model Town Gujranwala grabbed 3rd position.
