PU marks Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen

LAHORE: (Friday, September 05, 2025): A prize distribution ceremony was held in honor of the winners of co-curricular competitions organized in connection with Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen at Punjab University. PU Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali, Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Khalid Mahmood, Registrar Dr. Ahmed Islam, Director Students Affairs Dr. Shahzeb Khan, teachers and a large number of students attended the event. The students mesmerized the hearts of audience through their beautiful presentation of various Naats. Dr. Muhammad Ali, while addressing the gathering, said that this day is the holiest day in the universe. He highlighted that the greatest blessing of Allah is that He has blessed us with Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ). He said that the only reason for the decline of the Muslims is their distance from the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ). He said that we cannot fulfill Haqooq-ul-Abad and Haqooq Allah until we obey the teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ). Dr. Muhammad Ali said that the standard of honor is knowledge and piety, not wealth and fame. He said that I have achieved all the successes in my life by taking the name of Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ). The Vice Chancellor announced a prize of Rs. 10,000 each to the students who recited Naat and Qiraat. Director Students Affairs Dr. Shahzeb Khan, while addressing the ceremony, said that the life of Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ) is the best example for us to follow. He said in the light of the Ashra Rehmatul-lil-Alameen, we should change our everyday life for the betterment of humanity. At the end of the ceremony, prizes were distributed among those who secured positions in Qiraat, Naat, quiz, speeches, essay writing and tah-tul-lafaz.
