LAHORE: (Friday, February 1, 2019): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad has laid foundation stone of maddrassah beside Jamia Mosque at New Campus here on Friday. Department of Mosques Chairman Prof Dr Hamid Ashraf Hamdani, Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dean Prof Dr Taqi Zahid Butt, Dean Faculty of Science Prof Dr Shahid Kamal, RO I Jalil Tariq, RO II Malik Muhammad Zaheer, Acting Chief Engineer Faiz ul Hasan Sipra and others were present on the occasion.

The maddrassah is being established for Hifz-e-Quran. The VC also visited various sections of the mosque and ordered some renovation and extension work.
