PU HCC second int’l conference kicks off


LAHORE: (Monday, March 14, 2022): Punjab University Hailey College of Commerce (HCC) has organized an inaugural ceremony of “2nd International Conference and Graduate Colloquium & 3MT (ICGC-2022)” at its greens here on Monday.
Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Amra Raza, Dean Faculty of Commerce and HCC Principal Prof Dr Zulfiqar Ahmed, Conference Secretary Dr Ashfaq Ahmed, researchers from Pakistan, USA, Canada, Australia, China, Malaysia, Brazil, Turkey, Oman, Entrepreneurs, faculty members and a large number students participated in the event through physical and online means.
In her address, Dr Amra Raza said that it was the responsibility of the higher education institutions to produce graduates as per the requirements of the market for which holding such events was commendable. She said that students should not be confined to classrooms for learning. She said that CPEC had provided vast business opportunities and we must take maximum benefit from the ‘game changer’ project.
Dr Zulfiqar Ahmed said that only those nations had developed in the world that formulate strategies for a better future. He said that the purpose of the conference was to enable the students to benefit from the experiences of experts. He said that 145 research papers would be presented in 26 technical sessions during the two-day conference. Dr Zoe Morgan from Oman, Dr Zafir Khan-Bin-Mohammed Maqbool from Malaysia, Fore Joopen Helga from France and Prof Joe Ann Rolle from New York City addressed the conference online. The conference would be concluded on Tuesday (today).
