Human Resource Development Center (HRDC) at Institute of Administrative Sciences (IAS) facilitated a Faculty development Workshop at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) on 23rd January 2017. Professor Dr. Zafar Iqbal Jadoon, Department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences, College of Technology, University of Houston, Professor Dr. Nasira Jabeen, Director IAS and Dean Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences, and Ms. Maria Aslam, Librarian at IAS conducted the program. Professor Jadoon delivered lecture on ‘Taxonomy of Significant Teaching and Learning for Higher Education Institutions’ and ‘Developing Effective Curriculum and Course outlines’.

Professor  Naisra Jabeen delivered on the topic of ‘Communication and Interpersonal Skills for University Teachers’ while Ms. Maria Aslam delivered on ‘Management of Teaching and Information Resources’ with hands on experience on HEC databases and End Note. A panel discussion on, ‘What makes a good university teacher’ was held among panelists including: Professor Dr. Haris Rashid, Professor Dr. Zafar Iqbal Jadoon and Professor Dr. Nasira Jabeen. The theme of the workshop was learning and performance in higher education institutions. Professor Dr. Hafiz Khalil Ahmad, Ms. Hafsa Zafar (focal person) and forty faculty members having diverse representation from various departments attended the workshop. All participants lauded the effort of Professor Dr. Farhat Saleemi, Vice Chancellor, Government College Women University, Sialkot.  Vote of thanks and tokens of appreciation were shared with guest speakers.
