14th International Muslim Mental Health Conference


14th International Muslim Mental Health Conference, was held by the Muslim Mental Health Consortium and the Michigan State University Department of Psychiatry at Yale University, on March 25-26, 2022. Faculty members and students of Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab attended the conference. The conference was in hybrid mode. A research paper on the Role of Muslim religiosity to overcome Coronona virus anxiety and wellbeing, co authored by Dr Afifa Anjum, Professor Dr Rafia Rafia and Dr Fariha Anjum was presented by Ms Hafiza Ufrah Alauddin. ‘Fragilities Unmasked: Emerging from Social Isolation, Inequalities, and COVID’ was the theme of the conference. The conference was about discussing disparities with health care especially concerning minority communities and reducing stigma for mental illness.
