Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran, Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning, University of the Punjab, Lahore, met with Prof Dr Taqi Abedi, a distinguished scholar, critic, and researcher from Canada, to discuss the contemporary literary landscape and the future of Urdu language and literature in Canada. During the meeting, Dr Kamran lauded Dr Taqi Abedi's contributions to the field of Urdu literature and his tireless efforts to promote Urdu globally. Dr Taqi Abedi emphasized the importance of focusing on classic manuscripts of Persian and Urdu, highlighting the need for scholarly work in this area. As a token of appreciation, Dr Muhammad Kamran presented the second edition of his travelogue, "Gaaf say Guriya, Jeem say Japani," to Dr Taqi Abedi.
