PU’s Department of Graphic Design inaugurates undergraduate Thesis Exhibition 2026

LAHORE: (Thursday, June 04, 2026): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali inaugurated the Undergraduate Thesis Exhibition 2026, organized by the College of Art and Design’s Department of Graphic Design. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof. Dr. Mehboob Hussain, Principal CAD Prof. Dr. Samina Nasim, Chairman Department of Graphic Design Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bilal, faculty members, renowned designers from the industry and a large number of students. Addressing the participants, PU VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said that the students had presented creative projects with strong commercial potential. He noted that companies were purchasing projects developed by students of the College of Art and Design. He further stated that many students secure employment even before completing their studies. He highlighted that the college’s graduates have earned recognition at both national and international levels. He appreciated the students for presenting projects aimed at promoting environmental awareness. Dr. Ahmad Bilal stated that the students’ creative projects reflected various social issues and contemporary societal perspectives. He added that 85 students of the Department of Graphic Design showcased their creative, research-based, and innovative thesis projects in the historic Grand Hall of the College of Art and Design. On the occasion, a modern digital thesis catalogue was also launched, which is available on the College of Art and Design’s website. The exhibition will remain open to the public until June 12.
