PU HCBF organizes seminar on Microfinance awareness LAHORE: (Thursday, September 27, 2018): Punjab University Hailey College of Banking and Finance’s Principal Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan has said that microfinance is one of the most effective tools to combat poverty in underdeveloped countries of the world. He was addressing a seminar on microfinance awareness at the college’s auditorium in collaboration with State Bank of Pakistan, Lahore and Apna Microfinance Bank Limited. SBP’s Assistant Chief Manager Mr Mudassar Ali Khan and Mr. Ali Atta were the speakers. The SBP officials, in their detailed presentation, highlighted the untapped areas of microfinance. They explained in detail the initiatives taken by the SBP to accelerate the growth rate of microfinance facilities utilization for economic development of Pakistan.
