LAHORE: (Sunday, December 01, 2013): A Punjab University spokesman has said that the activists of Islami Jamiat Talaba have always told lie and they are following their practice of telling lie. The spokesman said that Girls Hostel Number 16 was vacant and only 10 to 15 rogues of Jamiat were occupying some rooms as they did not want girls to come there. The spokesman said that no student was tortured as it was not the practice of PU administration but it was IJT’s nature to torture teachers, students and employees and these elements were involved in vandalism. The spokesman said that female students of Punjab University were very happy over PU administration’s decision as they were facing acute problems because of shortage of hostels. The spokesman said that because of increase in number of female students in the recent years, the number of girls was equal to number of boys while girls had only 10 hostels and boys had 18. The spokesman said that Islami Jamiat Talaba was using the name of PU students in their press statements but all the PU students hate them.
