Dr Syed Zahoor-ul-Hassan awarded ‘Sitara-e-Pakistan Gold Medal’

LAHORE: (Monday, September 12, 2011): Tehreek-e-Istehkam-e-Pakistan Council has conferred on “Sitara-e-Pakistan Gold Medal Award” to Punjab University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology Director Prof Dr Syed Zahoor-ul-Hassan Rizvi, in recognition of his meritorious services in the field of engineering. Dr Rizvi has done his MSc in Engineering from Bradford University, UK and earned his PhD LEEDs University, UK and has been providing quality education to students as head of the department. Advisor to Chief Minister Begum Zakia Shahnawaz awarded the gold medal to Dr Zahoor Rizvi in a ceremony held in National Auditorium adjacent to Museum. President Tehreek-e-Istehkam-e-Pakistan Sher Bahadur Khan Chughtai and others were also present on the occasion.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated Dr Zahoor-ul-Hassan Rizvi on getting this prestigious award and said it was an honour for the varsity. Dr Zahoor-ul-Hassan Rizvi thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his support in providing maximum facilities to faculty members and students in the field of engineering.
