PU students complete international academic projects

LAHORE: (Thursday, June 04, 2026): Punjab University Department of Social Work in collaboration with Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania successfully completed an international academic project offering two virtual courses to its students. The project was led by Department of Social Work’s Associate Prof Dr. Sonia Omer. Through this initiative, students gained valuable international exposure and learning opportunities from a US university. They were also integrated into live classes being conducted in the United States, enabling them to interact with international faculty and students and experience a global learning environment in real time. Upon successful completion of the courses, participating students were awarded certificates by the host institution. The initiative was undertaken with prior permission from the relevant university administrators. The collaboration reflects the Department’s commitment to strengthening global academic linkages and enhancing student learning experiences. The successful completion of the project highlights the dynamic leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Muhammad Ali, whose vision and support continue to facilitate international academic initiatives that create valuable opportunities for Punjab University students.
