Completion of Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature

Dr. Asif Ali Chattha has successfully completed his postdoctoral fellowship under the supervision of Dr. Baseera Ambreen, Director of the Institute of Urdu Language and Literature. His postdoctoral research was conducted on the topic “Urdu Poetic Manāqib of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA)”.
This research presents a comprehensive study of poetic tributes (manāqib) dedicated to Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) in Urdu, while also examining relevant works in Arabic, Persian, and Punjabi. The study highlights the literary, religious, and cultural dimensions of this rich tradition across multiple languages.
On the successful completion of this scholarly work, Dr. Baseera Ambreen and the faculty members of the Institute extended their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Asif Chattha on this significant academic achievement.
