PU HCBF’s graduates highly demanded in banking, IT, corporate & other sectors: VC

LAHORE: (Monday, June 29, 2026): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali has said that graduates of Hailey College of Banking & Finance are proving their excellence in banking, information technology, civil services, and every other field through their outstanding professional capabilities. He expressed these views while addressing HCBF’s 15th convocation held at the PC Hotel, Lahore.

The ceremony was attended by Chairman Admission Committee Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, Dean Faculty of Commerce Prof. Dr. Hafiz Zafar Ahmad, College Principal Dr. Ahmed Muneeb Mehta, Registrar Dr. Ahmad Islam, faculty members, graduating students, and their parents.

More than 600 graduates and MPhil scholars were awarded degrees and medals during the ceremony. In his address, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali said that positive thinking, hard work, honesty, and self-confidence are essential for success in life. He remarked that the convocation was not only a day of celebration for the graduates but also a day of responsibility. Congratulating the graduates and medal recipients, he appreciated the efforts of Principal Dr. Ahmed Muneeb Mehta in elevating the College brand at the national and international level through student engagement, research, and capacity building of faculty and students. Prof. Dr. Hafiz Zafar Ahmad said the convocation marked an important milestone as students embarked on their professional careers. He noted that PU students are highly talented and encouraged them to have confidence in their abilities while promoting entrepreneurship and research. Principal HCBF Dr. Ahmed Muneeb Mehta congratulated the graduating students, their teachers, and parents on this significant achievement. He said that under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, the College is producing highly competent graduates and highlighted the College's ongoing academic initiatives. Later, degrees and medals were presented to the successful graduates.
