FC College clinches PU declamation contest 2015


LAHORE: (Wednesday, May 27, 2015): The shining students of Forman Christian College after a tough competition have clinched team trophy in PU’s first ever All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest 2015 organized by Punjab University Directorate of Students Affairs. In this regard, a prize distribution ceremony was held at Faisal Auditorium in which Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, former Hockey Olympian Manzoor Junior, Dean Faculty of Economics and Management Science Prof Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik, Director Students Affairs Shahid Mehmood Gul, Director Institute of Education & Research Dr Mumtaz Akhter, Deputy Director Zubair Akhram, Dr Faisal Kamal Haideri, faculty members and a large number of students participated.

As many as forty universities from all over the country participated in the event. Students including Jadoon Aslam from FCC got 1st position in English declamation while Hassan Rasheed from FAST Faisalabad got 1st position in Urdu declamation. Salman Afzal from FCC grabbed 2nd position in Urdu declamation while Ahmad Chaudhary from GCU Lahore grabbed 2nd position in English declamation. Similarly Shah Jahan Zafar from COMSATS Lahore clinched 3rd position in English declamation and Abbas Raza Bukhari from GCU Lahore clinched 3rd position in Urdu declamation. Addressing the students, Dr Mujahid Kamran said that that the leadership at higher level should understand that the nations who lacked knowledge faced calamities and devastation and education must be on top priority of the leadership. He congratulating the winning students and said that such activities should be organized for providing a healthy platform to the students.
